Philosophy

The Principal, faculty and the management believes that the main aim of the institution is to prepare the graduates assume responsibilities as professional Competent nurses and midwives in providing preventive, promotive, curative, and rehabilitative services.

We further believe that under graduate nursing programme is directed towards the development of critical thinking Skills, Competencies and standards. It also prepares graduates to adhere to code of ethics and professional conduct at all times in Professional Nursing Practice. The Teachers have the responsibility to be the role Models in fulfilling Personal, Professional and Social Obligations. We are dedicated to prepare Nurses who can make independent decision in Critical Nursing situation, Protect the rights of individual and group in pursuit of health function in hospital, Community and also prepare Nurses to organize and conduct research studies in the area of Nursing to enhance the level of Knowledge and Clinical Nursing expertise.

They are also preparing to assume the role of Teacher, Supervisor and the Manager in a Clinical/ Public health setting and educational institutional of Nursing.

Objectives

On completion of the four year BSc Nursing Programme the graduate Nurse will be able to:

  1. Apply knowledge from medical including alternative system, nursing, physical, Biological and behavioural science in providing nursing care to individuals, families and communities.

  2. Demonstrate understanding of lifestyle and other factors, which effect health of Individual and groups.

  3. Providing nursing care based on steps of nursing process in collaboration with Individuals and groups.

  4. Demonstrate critical thinking skills for making decisions in all situations order to Provide good quality care.

  5. Utilize the latest trends and technology in providing health care.

  6. Provide preventive, promotive and restorative health services in association with the National health policies and programmes.

  7. Practice according to the frame work of code of ethics, professional, conduct, and Acceptable standards within the legal boundaries.

  8. Communicate effectively with individuals, groups, and members of the health team in Order to promote effective interpersonal relationship and teamwork.

  9. Demonstrate skills in teaching to individuals and groups in clinical, community Health settings and school of nursing.

  10. Partcipate effectively as a member of health team in health care delivery system.

  11. Demonstrate leadership and managerial skills in clinical/ community health setting.

  12. Conduct need based research studies in various setting and utilize the research Finding to improve the qualityof care.

  13. Demonstrate awareness and interest towards the advancement of self and Profession.
