World Mosquito Day Observation

In observance of World Mosquito Day on August 20, 2025, the 6th semester BSc Nursing students of Sree Anjaneya College of Nursing organized an awareness program at the Taluk Headquarters Hospital, Koyilandy.

The event aimed to educate the public on the importance of mosquito control and the prevention of mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue, malaria, and chikungunya. Through informative sessions, posters, and interactive activities, the students effectively conveyed the significance of personal protection and environmental hygiene in controlling mosquito populations.

Healthcare professionals, hospital staff, and members of the public actively participated in the program. The initiative was well-received and appreciated for its relevance and timely message, especially in the wake of seasonal outbreaks.

The program successfully highlighted the role of future healthcare professionals in community health promotion and disease prevention. Events like these serve as a reminder of the collective responsibility we share in fostering healthier communities.
