Tpoic: Infection Control & Prevention Management

   A value added course on “infection control & prevention management’’ was successfully conducted on 28/06/25 at the Fourth semester classroom. The session aimed to enhance students’ knowledge regarding infection prevention strategies and management techniques in healthcare settings. Total 61 students were participated in the session.

The   course covered vital aspect including:

  • Principles of infection control
  • Standard precautions and hand hygiene
  • Use of personal protective equipments
  • Biomedical waste management
  • Hospital acquired infection prevention
  • Outbreak management and isolation protocol

   The session was interactive and involved presentations, case based discussion, and hand on demonstration to reinforce learning. Students actively participated and clarified their doubts, making the session highly engaging and informative.

   The course helped students strengthen their practical understanding of infection control protocol, an essential competency in nursing and clinical practice. The participants gained a comprehensive understanding of infection control measures, thereby improving their preparedness for clinical posting and future professional roles. The session was ended at 4pm.
